Whoops! It's Mid-October

So my hiatus was only supposed to be for a short period, but I forgot after getting out of this habit. Ghana has changed a lot in me, and where I used to stockpile and haul lots of products at once, I realize that I live in such gross abundance and should only buy what I need when I need it. Instead of buying things I don't need at all and let them sit in the closet.

Less of a consumerism mindset and more of use what I have and be over grateful for it.

I am also grateful that I live in a such a place of such abundance and accessibility. What would I do without Amazon? I have no idea, but I hate them at the same time for killing smaller markets in a world where everyone is just trying to make it.

In using what I have and not buying more, I realize I have been a part of this skincare game for many years now (over three, has it really been that long?!) and I know what I like. I really hated the Secret Key dupe for first essence treatment and would not buy that stuff again in a million years. Finally finished that bottle at the beginning of this month and it felt like ages before I went through it (I would use excess as well, but it still lasted FOREVER).

I know what I like and it's this:

1. Cleanser: sum37 MRCS, which is currently out of stock everywhere it seems. I have one stashed away, but am hesitant to start it now, so maybe I'll try the Neogen Green Tea stick to see how it compares. I am not a fan of oil cleansing.
2. Toner: Missha Clear Toner. Every time I am using a bottle of this, I just feel like my skin is so much more ready and willing to soak in other products. Love the wateriness of it, too. Currently I am using a Peach and Lily sample sale of Bitgoa Hue Essence Toner. It is actually lovely and great, but at that price I just kind of miss my $16 Missha Clear Toner bottle. It's more fragranced than I like, but it does work nicely (albeit seems like it's for older ladies and smells like it too). I recommend it, but I think there are cheaper products that work just as well.
3. First Essence: SK-II, which really, I've tried the Missha dupe, which is my favorite dupe of it, but there can't be a dupe when it sells for $150 a bottle (ok, that was duty free pricing, I think Sephora in the States has it for over $200). It feels like I am splashing my face in dollar bills when I use it, but I am always so pleased with the results.
4. Serums, ampoules, etc etc: Actually haven't found THE ONE yet. I've tried face oils, and The Ordinary (which just went through a mass of drama, I mean, the ex-CEO is clearly on some sort of drugs) isn't really as high quality as other products I've used and it's just ok. Never found a vitamin C serum that made me excited to use up the whole bottle. Definitely wasted two amber bottles as they spoiled before I remembered to use it more consistently. On my third bottle of Caudalie serum, but at that price, I just rather invest in my SK-II instead of extra serums that seem to peter out after a while. There hasn't been any wow's in this department.
5. Face Masks: Too Much Fun In the Sun by Leaders is my ABSOLUTE FAV and I got it by accident when it was on sale at a random TJ Maxx in a neighborhood I hardly visit. Great find, I really like them the most. Second would be Lovemore's Pearl Barley and Milk smoothing masks. To be honest, I guess I have a propensity towards smoothing masks; they seem to help my skin and make it feel much better.
6. Moisturizer: Though Mizon Snail line has earned it's place as I have bought it again and again and again (just love the scentlessness of it as well as the way it gets absorbed so quickly). But the true winner here is the chewy and sticky Joseon Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream. At 50 ml it goes so quickly, but the texture, the absorption, and even the light, sweet fragrance to it makes all my nerves at ease. It makes my face feel chok chok in the harshest of winters (which Mizon AIO Snail and Black Snail both fail to do).
7. Sunscreen: BAE Biore Watery Essence 50 spf pa plus plus plus plus. As a person of ghostly paleness, sunscreen is my life. Sometimes I don't feel fully protected by BAE Biore because it's chemical and not mineral, but I always go back for that light citrusy scent of sun protection. It goes on so smooth, I forget what my skin feels like underneath. It is BAE for a reason, great product, great results, great price (when you can find it for ~$6) and really, my most repurchased product in all of skincare.

When it comes to everything else that I've tried, whether it be exfoliating toners followed by AHA/BHA serums or clay masks for detoxing, or sleeping masks for the harsher winter months, none of them really wow me into keeping them, and often they sit in the medicine cabinet open and half used, forgotten because they didn't really bring anything to the table. Some products I just use to try to finish using, and got "creative" by putting it elsewhere (I've got the smoothest legs and tummy skin, I swear, I wipe my hands on my tummy after application way more frequently than I like to admit).

This is to say, that though my Skincare Journey is not over, it is slowing down. I am reusing products that are tested tried and true (oh dear lord I have over $300 of SK-II in my closet that is waiting on the queue to be used because other products are expiring first). My posts will be less about what is in my routine, but more on products I've been trying to use up so I can maintain the usage of my favorite products that are listed above. 

The Retinoid Diaries: Day 3 of Tazorac

My skin was TERRIBLE yesterday. So I took a long shower, saw all the redness and irritation, skipped my usual toner step, used Tazorac, waiting, used Missha's FTE (second bottle!!), and slapped on a LOVEMORE mask (my favorite brand so far).

The Lovemore mask was a rose brightening one. IT WORKED WONDERS. Honestly, I love those masks and each time they have saved my skin from something else.

Wore it with my silicon mask until I felt the edges by my cheeks dry. Then took off the silicon and waited for it to dray a bit more before I peeled it off. Followed my Mizon AIO Snail cream.

My skin was GORGEOUS in the morning compared to the bumpy red mess it was the day before.

Today though, I put some Missha FTE and waiting, so when I applied Tazorac is stung a little little bit. Then I waited a mini-drama episode worth of time (15 plus minutes) and then applied a hydrating toner (Chia Seed, yuck) it stung again!!!

Doesn't help that my nostril were chapped to bits because I am sick and have a runny nose. That stung, applying anything before and after the Tazorac stung. However, my sebum looks a lot better, a lot clearer and for that I am glad.

To counteract the pain and stinging, I decided to stay with the whole concept of masking post-Tazorac as to balance out the dryness of "tret-face." Keeping my skin moisturized as I am trying my best to heal it without dealing with comedones. (Please don't goggle "comedones" it's really the most unpleasant Google Images I've seen today. And I've watched Buzzfeed's gross video with extraction popping, which really was the GROSSEST thing, how is there even a niche market for people who like watching that sort of stuff. I'm mentally puking bile at the thought and I want that thought to be over so I am stopping now!)

Have a few skin-colored comedones on my face, the biggest on is between my eyebrows. Thought it was a mole or a skin tag (as those run on both sides of my family), but Dr. Myself has WebMD'd extensively to the point where I've come to terms with it being a comedone. Although I don't know how it got there... or when it appeared....

Cheers to tonight, as my My Beauty Diary Bird's Nest mask is drying over my tret-face. Masking daily is rather time consuming, but I'm enjoying myself.

The Retinoid Diaries: Day 1 of Tazorac

Most people talk about tret-face, the ultimate purge before good skin finally unveils itself.

Me? I've got Taz-attacked, or I plan on being so.

Ages ago, but not too long, I was scared by a dermatologist because of an odd sty that they scraped my face getting a sample of. Being on Medicare at the time, I didn't care, none of these visits cost me a dime. But they did cost me my skin, well, scarless skin, because his assistant left a gash on the bridge of my nose.

Past aggression aside, I was prescribed a tube of Tazorac Cream, .1%. Using up all the samples he gave didn't seem to make a crazy difference. So I put the tube away, it is still good until April 2017 anyway.

Now that there's a love affair with retinoids and skincare gurus.... and this new toner or new cleanser is making my skin horrid....

Time to bring the tube back out!!

And to do a double no-no, I also brought out the Laneige Water Sleeping mask I bought at duty free. Because if a possible dry "tret-face" is going to happen, you betcha I'm going to over moisturize.

So today's routine went like this:

1. Oil Cleanser - Shu Uemura Yellow Bottle (which works better with my step 2 cleanser)
2. SUM37 MRCS (still not used to bits of rose petal being rubbed around my face)
3. Tazorac (which I did wrong, I should have put a toner/essence on, but I am so tired of this Chia Seed failing)
4. Laneige sleeping pack
5. Laneige sleeping pack reapplied when the first layer was dry.


And now we wait.

Until then, i hope to say adieu to all the darn whiteheads popping up this week. New products, much stress, less sleep, bad skin.

Missha FTE I miss you so much, can't wait until my Amazon order comes in the mail. Though I have to say, I am also missing the clear toner. But if the Chia Seed really is the issue (maybe it's the MRCS?!?!) I am just going to go out and buy a $13 500ml bottle of Kikumasamune Sake Skin Lotion High Moisture. Or maybe just the regular white bottle and not the the pink "high moist" one. Nah, the white bottle has Propylparaben listed, which is a 7 out of 9 on the list of "not good for you," the other parabens are merely at a 4 in the pink "high moist" bottle..

Skincare Routine Mondays: April 11, 2016

Missed the last two weeks because... school. Anyway, not much has changed. Just a bit of anxiety now that my Missha FTE is soon to be OUT.

1. Oil Cleanser: None. Should I bother when I'm fresh-faced (a la sans make-up) everyday? Please advise.
2. Water-based Cleanser: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. Soon to be out. Thinking of trying out Corsx Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser, which is actually on sale at Jolse, but I already whined about my hesitancy in purchasing from them.
3. Toner: Missha's Clear Toner (in the Time Revolution Starter Set). 
4. Serum or essence: Not quite an essence/serum, but a "First" Essence-- Missha's The First Treatment Essence (in the Time Revolution Starter Set). And WOE is ME, as I am almost out and I realize that I do like this stuff, even though I don't really know what it actually is doing for me. One of those things where you keep doing it for the long haul, you know? I am almost out and I have been skimping on how much product I use because I don't want to be out! 
5. Moisturizer:
    AM: Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer SPF 30.
   PM :Mizon - All in One Snail Repair Cream (75ml), which gets absorbed so nicely that it's not bad at all to layer underneath my greasy morning Aveeno SPF moisturizer.
6. Treatment Sheet Mask: NRK's Collagen Booster Firming Mask, which I actually got individually from Poya (which you can purchase through Poya via Yahoo) 

I actually didn't take a picture the second time around. The first time I used it, I used the snail mask, as seen above. It came with a lot of clear viscous serum, and had a white plastic lining that had to be removed.

Honestly, it was big for my face, though I appreciated that the area between the nose and the upper lip was wide and big enough to be properly covered. However, the edges of my mouth were totally peeking out. It had the cuts in the side so that you can adjust and overlap them properly, which I didn't do such a great job if you can see all the wrinkles hanging out.

Layer that with my Daiso silicon cover and BAM, serum for days. (A good thing, even though I look miserable in that last shot!) The snail mask was unremarkable. Really, I hardly even remembered I did it until I was surfing through my photos trying to find one of the Collagen Booster. The Collagen Booster did not get any pictures taken of, but it had a nice and pleasant smell. It felt great, or maybe it's been a while since I did a mud mask follower by a sheet mask, but either way, it left a better impression than the snail mask (which didn't leave an impression at all, now that I think of it...).

NRK is sold in Taiwan, and it's pricer, too. Honestly, though I paid 27 NTD for it, which is just under a dollar, the LOVEMORE masks are a much better investment. I raved about them last time, and still, it's number one in my book. NRK is also thicker than the My Beauty Diary masks, which are also cheaper and a better bang for your buck. 

Skincare Routine Mondays: March 21, 2016

Back from my allergy attack!!! The adverse reaction happened on Sunday, and I actually went back to normal (kind of) around Thursday.

First Impressions, basically a short NPE!!! for the Lovemore mask (#6) and a further impression on the Mizon AIO Snail Repair Cream (now that I've phased out the Nature Republic Combination Watery Cream).

1. Oil Cleanser: None. Still none. Whatever. I don't wear make-up.
2. Water-based Cleanser: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser.
3. Toner: Missha's Clear Toner (in the Time Revolution Starter Set). Actually made my irritated skin tingle a bit, but such a slight reaction. I think using this and the First Essence really helped to rejuvenate my skin.
4. Serum or essence: Not quite an essence/serum, but a "First" Essence-- Missha's The First Treatment Essence (in the Time Revolution Starter Set).
5. Moisturizer:
    AM: Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer SPF 30. But sometimes I just use NR's Combo Watery Cream with Biore's Watery Essence PA 50+++. Depends on how greasy I  feel.  
   PM :Mizon - All in One Snail Repair Cream (75ml)
6. Treatment Sheet Mask: Lovemore's Pearl Barley and Milk sheet mask

First Impressions, basically a short NPE!!! for the Lovemore mask.

Think about this name... Lovemore and hell yes! I'd lovemore of this mask, because it really is, simply put, that fabulous!

As you may have read, I was suffering from a very adverse allergic reaction on the lower half of my face. It was awful and instantly blew up, making my poor skin suffer. After the redness and swelling had died down, I was left with skin that felt like sand paper, like the winds of time themselves hit my face and left my skin coarse with windburn.


It was horrific.

However, on Thursday, I had the great idea (and unlike the accidental numbing agent, this was a great idea) to try out of my of precious Lovemore Masks. I tried out the Pearl Barley and Milk soothing mask, because I needed the smoothing part for sure. Not to mention that the "pearl barley" they are taking about is none other than Job's Tears (薏仁 yi ren) which is the main ingredient in one of my favorite traditional Chinese breakfast shop beverages Yi Ren Jiang (薏仁漿), which all the ladies at the bakeshop loved to tell me that it helps me skin become even white. Not a goal I actually want to attain, but I LOVE THIS DRINK. It reminds me of oatmeal, but not quite, much lighter and SO MUCH BETTER. So good, that it made me sooooo happy to put it on my face.

Unlike other brands, Lovemore only comes in five to a box. The box itself cost me around $250 NTD, or in American, about $7 to $8 dollars. It wasn't as easy to find, especially not at a good price. I think it was a deal that I got at Poya which is an AWESOME place to get masks. They have so much variety, you can buy the pack of 5 (or ten, as it's with My Beauty Diary), individual packs (which is how I sampled a million types of My Scheming masks). Seriously, I know people like their (overpriced) Watson's, and then there is (the occasionally limited) Cosmed, but NOTHING beat Poya and the fact that Poya stores are HUGE and have vastly selection on basically EVERYTHING (even got my beloved panty-liners here for mad cheap, but that's another story). According to this week's Poya DM, My Scheming Masks (ten pack) are 2 for $285 NTD, which according to Google is around $8.81 USD. That is TWENTY masks for 44 cents a PIECE. Can we talk about how AWESOME that is?! Because it's damn awesome. Though I "dan dian"d my My Scheming masks and it was only twenty cents more per mask and I didn't get any duplicates; there were too many types to choose from!! Right now My Beauty Diary (which is also quite high in quality) is being sold at two for $419 NTD, which is about 12/13 dollars a pack, making it less than $1.30 a mask, which is why I think mask prices in the US are really so absurd. They also have kept up with the trends and do offer some random K-beauty. I got my teeny tiny Guerisson horse oil cream from there. Which is more like a salve, so maybe I bought the wrong thing?

Bottomline: Got these Lovemore masks along with a variety of My Scheming, My Beauty Diary, and NRK masks, and that's only the Taiwan side of things.

What makes this mask different is that it's not only thin, but it understands that it needs a protective layer as to not let the serum evaporate as quickly. Therefore, though I did cover it with my silicon mask from Daiso, it already came with it's own cover. The plastic white sheet comes off, and you're supposed to keep the blue sheet on. Except I didn't read the directions (which, for once, I can read and understand without English translation) and took the blue sheet off. But you can see how transparent and thin it is, almost like the new My Beauty Diary masks.

And the smell, the light sweet milky smell!! It was so aromatic and lovely and I have to say I really enjoyed smelling the mask itself as well as wearing it. It was delicious!!

This mask also has the thinnest lip slit ever. Which is fine because I have some rather thin lips, and actually worked out in my favor because as a part of the allergic reaction I was having, my lips were equally chapped and rough. But look how it cut off the tops of my lips, aka, the Cupid's Bow. My lips are so thin, that this is something I rarely if ever had to deal with. The mask lined right up with the bottom lip and it was snug, but I can't say I was going to complain. My lips/face needs as much pampering as possible.

I LOVED IT SO MUCH. It is truly my current NO.1 mask. Is it HG status worthy? Quite possibly. The serum that this mask is soaked in, really, really, really saved my poor suffering skin and I am so grateful for that.

Sephora Sample Wonderland: Glamglow Versus PTR Irish Moor Mud PART DEUX

Forgot to write about how I followed-up a week later by testing a round two for these two masks.

All in all, I hate to say this, because I like rooting for the underdog, but I think Glamglow wins.

PTR Irish Moor Mud is just too much to clean off and felt like rubbing ink all over my face in trying to rinse it off nicely. It also has less of an effect, from what I can tell. It's probably more gentle and doesn't harden on the skin, but at the same time I did not like the whole messiness of putting it on and taking it off.

Like rubbing ink all over my face, I tell ya.

Glamglow, while messy at first, dries, and then is hard to rinse off in that rinsing it makes it melt all over again, but it's not as dark or difficult.

Pictorial Evidence:

The process begins with the mask already drying where it's thinner around my lips. Look at it almost dried, even though in the side of my nose it's still very wet and so leaves a dark gray line (which I waited to lighten before rinsing).

Now in the last picture I apologize for the nastiness that is the amount of sebum making the Glamglow all bubbly as it recognizes the filth in my pores. However, if you look at the left, compared to the right, the left looks cleaner. Maybe it's an accident of the camera being blurry, as I am not using a macro lens, but still, it looks better to me, and in the mirror it did too. This is Glamglow versus PTR Irish Moor Mud.

I really want to work on my pores, my nose and neighboring "wings" are horrendous.

Sephora Sample Wonderland: Glamglow Versus PTR Irish Moor Mud

Welcome to the magic that is my face. My T-zone is oily and full of dark little clogged pores that no photoshop hide. (That's a lie since photoshop can hide everything.) Theae enlarges nose pores will be the bane of my existence.

Since there is no real way to "shrink" pores, the least I can do is research on how to keep them clean. Got two Sephora gift cards this Christmas, and while I did drop two hundred at Koreaan Duty Free, none were on pore clarifying masks.

At today's local Sephora I was originally looking at the Korean brand Caolion, which looks like ghetto Chinese spelling, but it isn't. This one has a two step mask process, one that warms and clarifies, the second that cools and soothes. However, in talking to a lady who looked awfully bored at her job, she talked me into trying the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud mask. Of course, I wanted to have a comparison so I opted for almost as pricy and actually clay bases Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment. 

PTR's Irish Moor Mud when on as black as the forest on a moonless night. Black like that. And I could feel it heating up my skin. Just enough so where I almost panicked and thought I was having a severe allergic reaction. It is sticky and looks like what nightmares are made of. Directions says to leave in for up to ten minutes, but since I split my face down the middle I don't think I was quite accurate. No biggie though, in the end.

Glamglow was the rougher freshly mixes concrete cousin of the Irish Moor Mud. It was a lighter gray, dark but not even close to the pitch black of PTR. Went on with chunks of rough spots, probably exfoliating? I'm not sure, but not nearly as smooth as the Irish Moor Mud. It was not as dense and seemed to be more watery and therefore easier to spread. 

Let's compare, shall we?

Top Left: The left black side is PTR and the right more dark green looking side is Glamglow.

Top Middle: It's starting to dry!! Look where it's still globbed and and more turning light green. PTR has stopped burning by now, so I've stopped freaking out about if I should wash it off or not.

Top left: Close up on the Glamglow on my nose, look at all those "bubbles," which is apparently where the most enlarged and clogged pores are. Like Biore strips without pulling off layers of skin.

Though I was supposed to wash off the PTR first, I just waited for the Glamglow to dry since it was drying quite quickly. Both masks had a similar amount layered on. PTR did not dry or harden or anything. Glamglow, on the other hand, hardened to the point where I couldn't move my face and would cause cracks in it by simply smiling a bit.

The Glamglow has those bubbles that are supposed to be some sort of vacuum matrix sucking out the yucky things, but they looked look clean and Glamglow just had instant look gratification. PTR's Irish Moor Mud can be used several times a week, whereas the Glamglow is harsher and should be used maximum once or twice a week. I don't wear makeup, so my pores are junked naturally versus make-up filled.

The Glamglow was easier to rinse off, where I felt like I was reapplying or just wiping the PTR mud all around my face. 

Either way, to deal with the "purging" that can happen with "clarifying" "pore" based masks, I washed it all off and used an Etude House I Need You! Silk Cocoon mask, which is noted to be "skin vitalizing" to give it an extra boost. Then followed by Freeset Donkey Milk 3D Moisture Cream, which I regretted because it made my T-zone SUPER greasy, something I did not enjoy after using such harsh clay/mud mask on my face. I should have stuck with my Super Qua Max Combination Watery Cream from Nature Republic. Seriously, that little jar has been keeping me much happier than Donkey Milk and cost me 1/4 the price. Seriously, it was under ten bucks at Duty Free and for the price and results, I really couldn't be happier.

Also, repeating this two faced mask experience again in a week. The winner of the challenge will go on to PK Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate. Wait, that isn't actually fair since these masks are not exfoliators. It should PK either Caudalie Instant Detox Mask or DERMAdoctor Kakadu C Amethyst Clay Detox Mask or Estée Lauder Clear Difference Purifying Mask. We will see what is the Sephora ladies have to reccomend to compare to the winner. 

Bottom line: PTR for more common day use, glam glow every now and again for intensive care. Follow up with a regular mask to soothe and protect the skin.

Skincare Routine as of January 11, 2016

NEW YEAR, NEW HAUL

It's been a CRAZY month, with Christmas, going to Taiwan, and, sadly, coming back home. Taiwan is really the home I chose and there's nothing that can compare.

That being said, my skin routine has been tweaked and partially neglected these past two weeks. Taiwan weather doesn't call for the use of a moisturizer as thick as Aveeno, and I ended up using some new products I bought instead.

It's been a rough two weeks of fun, food, and exercise. However, my poor skin has been breaking out around the edges that it was time to use some of the masks I bought upon my return. Changes in atmosphere, humidity, temperature, and jet lag all have taken their toll on my skin. My poor ever-pale skin.

So right now I am adjusting to this less humid weather and going back to a routine more similar.

1. Wash Rinse

3. Missha First Essence
4. SKII Repair C (aka liquid gold I sample from Sephora)
5. AM: Aveeno SPF 30 Moisturizer

Last night I used My Beauty Diary's Black Pearl Mask and I have to say, I am happy with it. My skin has broken out, but it doesn't feel that way right now. It feels smooth, dewy, and irritation free! Yay.

DO NOT USE: Old Masks!!

Gah! I feel so dumb for having to write a post on what seems like common sense. But, all warning labels are there before someone was dumb enough to do it, and I, was dumb enough to use outdated face masks.

At first, I didn't think of it as a bad thing. If you've been in Asia as long as I was, you'd had a collect growing too. This was even before I was into skincare and was using overly alkaline face washes and couldn't figure out what was going wrong. I EVEN PUT BAR SOAP ON MY FACE and thought that it was all going to be ok. (How I cringe thinking about that!!)

First I used an Aqua Moisture Nature Republic mask. It didn't have so much of the goo it's usually covered with, so I just shrugged and was like, "great, now it won't drip down my neck!" In retrospect, I don't know why there wasn't so much goo, but I do know that I dried itself up in less than 15 minutes. Never have I had a facial mask that dried itself up! Even when I "accidentally" fell asleep with one on. That was sign number one that I should not use an outdated mask.

Of course, I didn't listen and used a snail goo facial mask. It was a Baviphat snail something or other mask, and it smelled... strong. It was a perfumey kind of smell, so I didn't think anything of it. Totally goopy, but ah! The more the better, right?!

WRONG.

WRONG.

I put it on my face and instantly tensed up. Maybe this smell was too strong, but I can deal. Then in a couple seconds, "hmm this doesn't feel quite nice, let me adjust it." After adjusting the mask several times I realized that it was making my face feel itchy and I ripped the mask straight off and proceeded to wipe off all excess residue (and there was a lot, ugh).

Being Chinese, or maybe just being sad to see a good thing go to waste, I placed the mask on my foot and give my foot a facial treatment. Since I had a duplicate of the same mask from the same era (2012) I ripped that one open and placed it on my other foot. My feet did not have any issues, so I am glad it did not totally go to waste. There are at least three or four other masks that are outdated at least a year and a few of them are my beloved Hello Kitty Masks by "Sexy Look" (haha got to love Taiwanese names!). These poor masks have expired about a year ago, and in a little more than a month they would be almost two years expired. I think my feet are about to get a little more pampering than they're used to... hee hee hee.


BOTTOMLINE (tl;dr)
It took me two tries, but I have learned my lesson: don't use outdated masks. They are old and they are not good for your face anymore. Feel free to try them on other body parts that may have a thicker skin (figuratively and literally).
