Whine and Cheese: Jolse and Online Shopping for Asian Beauty Products

This is me whining, so please, look away!

Jolse is always having sales and their prices are quite good, but I AM A CHICKEN SHIT.

To put it nicely, I want to go and have them take my money, only I am nervous. Nervous about what? Let me count the ways:

  1. Jolse is cheap enough where I want to "try" a lot of products. Nervous about getting a product that will hurt my skin and then I am stuck with it.
  2. Jolse has "credit" policies, meaning the shopping never ends? Nervous about getting addicted to online shopping.
  3. Jolse sends the packages as a "gift" and if it's below $50 USD it has no free tracking code. I am obviously too cheap to buy a tracking code. Nervous my package will get lost.
  4. Jolse also does not pay for charges associated with customs. How will I even know my package is stuck in customs? Nervous about it getting lost in the black hole of customs.
  5. Nervous about getting chosen to pay duty on these items.
  6. Nervous I have ordered too much and the duty is worth more than the cost of the "gift" itself.
  7. Nervous on how long it's going to take to get here.
  8. Nervous about how between me and them, shipping is a whole other realm.
So, YES, I want Jolse to take my money. But then I am also too scared of all the possibilities of it going south to really rationalize the fact that Tony Moly Sheet Masks are 11 for $8 when they sell two for $7 at Sephora. Do I need more sheet masks? No one ever does, but of course I would like to order 22 of them, at least. It'll only be $16 dollars, which would be fabulous, but then I am going to want to order a whole bunch of other stuff and I can't even use my basic routine because I am still suffering from an allergic reaction.

Le sigh.

/whine.

Thanks for reading.
